Haiti Relief Bulletin
Important Bulletin from Risen Lamb Church of the Nazarene. All other news and introductions are below this bulletin.
A major earthquake hit Haiti Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Roughly a third of the population of the country has been affected, with extreme shortages in food, water, shelter, fuel, and medical care. Local Nazarenes are working to distribute food, water, tents, and provide medical attention.
With nearly 120,000 Haitian Nazarenes, responders on the ground are working diligently to provide relief and comfort to the Haitian people. Nazarene Compassionate Ministries in the Caribbean is partnering with various organizations including Heart to Heart International and World Vision to immediately mobilize skilled and experienced disaster response teams. General Superintendent J.K. Warrick has sent out a call for help saying: “I plead with [Nazarenes] to respond with prayers, financial gifts, and other types of assistance as may be appropriate.”
